Our 2015 wedding season ended in a unique way, we were privileged to shoot our first Indian Wedding in Italy.
In the wedding photographer's world, the indian wedding ceremonies are famous for their vibrant colours, intriguing rituals and for the joy of the wedding feasts.
Preparations begin the day before the actual wedding, with rituals imbued with gestures and charm.
The happy couple had asked to keep most of their images private, but they have gifted us a small selection to add to our sharing portfolio (thank you for this opportunity!).
The ceremony was held in late December in Sorrento. The newlyweds began their day with their civil ceremony at the Correale Museum, in a baroque room as the sun of southern Italy poured through. Guests wore an array of colourful traditional garments as well as western attire, a wonderful fusion of cultures.
Following the civil marriage, the couple moved onto the beautiful terrace of Villa Antiche Mura, and changed into lavish traditional clothing.
The religious ceremony was divided into two parts, the first was a Sikh ceremony followed by a Hindu ceremony. Both rites were enveloped by a magical atmosphere and were followed with great interest by all the guests.
We hope that through our pictures, we've been able to give you a small glimpse into the magic, fusion of cultures and awesomeness that this marriage has awakened in us.
